Hand It Over
October 30-31
Hand It Over
For he has not ignored the suffering of the needy. He has not turned and walked away. He has listened to their cries for help. Psalm 22:24
When it comes to feelings of doubt, we can turn to Hebrews 4:16, which says, “therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find a way to help in time of need.” Even when we feel incompetent, we can find confidence in knowing that our God is greater than anything that presents itself before us. Rather than being confident in our own abilities, we can be confident turning it over to God.
What grief’s are you currently suffering? Can you give them over to the Savior of this world, confident that He will use them to bring new growth in your life?
The worst kind of suffering is the one that is done alone and in silence. During silent suffering, the enemy has somehow trapped you into believing that you are in this alone. That somehow you have no one to talk to because no one understands. Do not believe this lie. When we suffer with another person who is sympathetic to our problem, the hurt is easier to bear. This is why we are admonished to be a part of a small group, stay among believers so you can find someone to confide in during times of need. Do not become entrapped, entangled or distracted by the schemes of the enemy.
Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning.
Prayer for today: Lord, Father, Your love, Word, is extravagant. You love us even when we are unlovable. Thank You for that gift! Amen
