Embrace Every Season
You made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to set. Psalm 104:19
Hello September! If you were to ask anyone that knows me, this time of year (heading into autumn into winter) is my absolute favorite. What is it about a simple change in month that brings about a change in my stride? Well for me it’s the weather. I enjoy the cooler temperatures and weather is just like that, it can bring out the best in people? It’s almost like each new month is a new season filled with new beginnings of sorts. This is life. Seasons and changes.
Life is a continuance of seasons, change after change, followed by another change. Some are glorious; others more challenging. Ecclesiastes 3:1-15 is a beautiful reminder that God is in control. Take comfort in the fact that He is unchanging, and has appointed a time for every event under the sun. As you face each new season, don’t let it come upon you without reflection. Set aside some time to reflect today and give thanks. What are the challenges you face in this season of change? Remind yourself that God has been faithful in other seasons and He will do it again in this season. Concentrate on the things you can change and then trust God Him with the rest. If you allow Him, He will stretch, grow, and mold you through every season into the vessel He designed.
