He Shall
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
The question is – do you believe this verse for other people – as well as for yourself?
Wow, that is an amazing promise. God says, “I will meet all your needs.” But the good thing is God supplies not just for you and me, but He does this for all of His children in need.
Yes, God is interested in you having your needs met. But what are our needs? Because our needs have a way of getting exaggerated. Consider what happens when you watch an ad? The advertisement turns your wants into needs–“you need this” . . . “you’ve got to have it” . . . “you’re not living until you get this.” The Bible does not say,” My God shall supply all your greed”–no, God says, “I will supply your need.”
Prayer for today: Lord God, I pray today as I stand on the promises of your word in the book of Philippians 4:19 that says that God will supply all my needs. I understand that my needs are not always Your will and in these moments I pray for peace to accept Your ways. Amen
