The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! <strong>John 1:29<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When Jesus was walking the earth, hardly anyone knew the reason why He\u2019d come. But one person, John the Baptist, knew exactly why Jesus had come and what He was going to do. John the Baptist preached:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c<em>In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, \u201cRepent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!\u201d For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe voice of one crying in the wilderness:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018Prepare the way of the Lord;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Make His paths straight<\/em>.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>(Matthew 3:1-3)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As John proclaimed, Jesus came as \u201cthe Lamb of God,\u201d fulfilling His divine calling\u2014Savior of the world. Jesus came to earth to become the sacrificial Lamb that God Himself was offering. Every sin ever committed (in the past or the future) was covered by His sacrificial death on the Cross. The shedding of His blood paid the ultimate price for those who believe and accept Him, Jesus has taken away all sin!<\/p>\n<p>This is why we need to look to Jesus and seek Him as the Lamb of God who already has taken our sin. On Calvary, the sacrifice was made. The work was completed. All we need to do is accept and receive what has been done.<\/p>\n<p>In your life, don\u2019t hold on to sin. Jesus died so that you can be forgiven. Accept His finished work and be forgiven. \u201c<em>There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit<\/em>.\u201d (Romans 8:1)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>: <em>Worthy is the name of the One who came to take away the sins of this world \u2013 Jesus. I call on the name of Jesus. Hosanna! Come save me now. Jesus, let Your name receive all praise and worship, glory honor and blessing forever.
