Thursday, January 28 \u2013 Day 4<\/strong><\/p>\n

SPIRITUAL WARRIOR (Part B): Josh 1:4-9 – (SESSION 7)<\/p>\n

The Word of God is also \u201cspiritual food\u201d. Observe how often God urges Joshua to be strong<\/strong> and of good courage. Physically, if we are to be strong, we must \u2018Eat Right\u2019, meaning, we must eat the right foods<\/em> in the right proportions<\/em> at the right time<\/em> each day. We must also get an ample amount of rest. In the spiritual too, we must eat the right food \u2013 God\u2019s Word \u2013 in the right portions at the right time. Just as we don\u2019t all eat breakfast or dinner at the same hour of the day \u2013 some of us are early eaters while others will become sick (literally) if they eat too early – so in the spiritual, each of us must find our own routine. What is important though, is for us to \u201cstick with it\u201d.<\/p>\n

Joyce Meyer once said, \u201cThe busier I get, the more I need to spend time in prayer and God\u2019s Word\u201d.<\/p>\n

In each of vs 6, 7& 9<\/strong>, Joshua is instructed to be strong and very courageous. Strength and courage in the spiritual realm come from meditating on God\u2019s Word, believing it, speaking it and most importantly, living by it. The more battles we face and overcome, the more our faith develops and the stronger we become. So, as we fast and pray today, let us determine to heed the instructions given to Joshua to be strong and very courageous, to listen diligently to our Father\u2019s instructions and follow them as closely as is humanly possible.<\/p>\n

SPIRITUAL ATTACK \u2013 FACT, TRUTH & FAITH: Isa. 55:11; Psa. 12:7 (SESSION 8)<\/p>\n

The Angel of the Lord said, \u201cGod has given you the city\u201d. \u201cHas given\u201d was an indication that it was already done. It was the language of faith. The spirit realm had already seen it through. Facts and truth are not<\/strong> interchangeable. A spiritual person can look at the apparent facts before him but does not let that influence his faith on the higher truth. Truth is always a higher reality (John14:6<\/a><\/u><\/em>).<\/p>\n

Indeed, as Joshua and Caleb\u2019s faith was greater in the spirit, they became greater in the natural. Truth became fact<\/em> at the time they needed it. At the time of battle. On the other hand, their fighting force initially felt small compared to these giants, because their faith was small. In fact, even if the enemy were of a standard size, they would have still appeared small.<\/p>\n

Once the faith was restored, then the bizarre pre-attack orders – they began their circling of the walls of Jericho. The priests and entire army did not speak at all. They made noise but did not speak articulately. It\u2019s like praying in the spirit with sounds and groanings that cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26<\/a><\/u><\/em>). Their sounds were not a waste oftime. Something was moving in the spirit realm, in the truth which then became a fact when the walls came down.<\/p>\n

Faith without obedience does not work. The people had to walk around despite the probable insults of the Canaanites. People that have the anointing to pray in tongues also feel the pressure as Satan whispers \u201cnothing is happening, that\u2019s not bearing any fruit\u201d. But whether we pray \u2018in tongues\u2019 or in our natural language, if we pray in faith, HE hears. Let us keep praying and seeking until THE TRUTH becomes fact to us through our faith in HIM.<\/p>\n
