Advent \u2013 A Mothers Love \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is so much more I want to tell you, but you cant bear it now. John 16:12<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today\u2019s Christmas carol is Mary did you know?<\/p>\n

Mary, did you know<\/em><\/p>\n

That your baby boy will one day walk on water?<\/em><\/p>\n

Mary, did you know<\/em><\/p>\n

That your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?<\/em><\/p>\n

There is one thing to know and another to live. You see, God usually only gives us a piece of the big picture at a time. That\u2019s how God works. In many ways, Mary didn\u2019t have a lot of information about her unborn child. She knew that he would be the Savior of the world but she didn\u2019t know the path that He would talk to get to that point. She knew He would be known as the Son of God, the Messiah, and that he would play an important part in the future of God\u2019s people. But this is only after a good lashing. That information was too much to bear and so God kept it from Mary until the appointed time.<\/p>\n

Imagine, as a young teenager, the angel told Mary, \u201cYou are to give birth to the Savior. He will be your baby boy for thirty years until he starts his public ministry. At that point, he\u2019ll be opposed and confronted by the leaders of this country for three years, when he\u2019ll then be brutally beaten, crucified, and all will abandon Him.\u201d That would have been too much for her at the moment. How could a human possibly bear that knowledge?<\/p>\n

This year we have been through so much God could not reveal to us at the beginning this is how the year would end. What we do know similar to what Mary knew was to keep trusting in God. There is so much for us to know and learn in this lifetime but only at God\u2019s appointed time. This Christmas season as you continue to hold onto hope keep trusting in God.<\/p>\n

As I grow in my relationship and get a better understanding of how God interacts with me, I better recognize that I might not be able to see how I will get there, but I have to make the choice (like Mary) to trust in God. Knowing that he has provided me with everything I need right now and this is all part of the journey. Find strength in Mary\u2019s story being the mother of our Savior.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
