God, Turn It Around<\/strong><\/p>\n

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. <\/em>Jeremiah 33:3<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have you ever had your back against the wall? Maybe it was a doctor\u2019s report that didn\u2019t sit well with you. Perhaps it was a phone call from the bank telling you there was nothing more they could do to save your home. Maybe it was an envelope in the mail finalizing the end of your marriage. Or perhaps you received news that left you wondering, \u201cHow am I ever going to get through this?\u201d<\/p>\n

In those moments, desperation can take over. You don\u2019t know what to do, where to turn, or how things could possibly change. All you know to say is, \u201cGod, change this. God, fix this. God, turn it around.\u201d<\/em> And that is where prayer begins, not always with polished words, but with a heart that knows it needs God. God, Turn It Around, authored and sung by Song by Church of the City and Jon Reddick, reminds us: \u201cI\u2019m praying, God, come and turn this thing around.\u201d <\/em>What a powerful prayer. We serve a God who can step into situations that look impossible and make a way where there seems to be no way. He can bring healing where there is sickness, provision where there is lack, restoration where there is brokenness, and hope where disappointment has taken root.<\/p>\n

But sometimes, \u201cturn it around\u201d doesn\u2019t happen in the way or the timing we expected. God may change the situation, or He may change us in the middle of the situation. Either way, we can trust that He is present. When life suddenly seems impossible, it is important for us to remember that the Bible reminds us that \u201cnothing will be impossible with God\u201d (Luke 1:37). That doesn’t mean every situation will change exactly when we want it to or in the way we expect. \u00a0But one thing remains true: God is with you.<\/p>\n

Prayer for today<\/strong>: Loving Father, I come to You today with the things I cannot fix and the situations I cannot control. You know every battle I am facing, every tear I have cried, and every fear I have carried. God, I need You to step into my situation. Where there is sickness, bring healing. Where there is lack, bring provision. Where there is brokenness, bring restoration. Where there is confusion, bring peace. Where there is no way, make a way. Lord, I don’t know how You will do it, but I choose to trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
