The words of Lamentations 3:22\u201323 capture this truth beautifully: \u201c<em>Because of the Lord\u2019s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.\u201d<\/em> Life itself is a gift from God. Yet life can also be unpredictable. Everything around us can shift, sometimes so quickly that we struggle to find our footing. We try to make sense of the patterns and find meaning in the seasons. We are pulled back and forth by circumstances, relationships, loss, change, and uncertainty. At times, we become misaligned, tossed by the waves of life, waiting for our faithful God to steady and realign us. Written by Thomas Chisholm, this hymn is a reminder of God\u2019s steadfast love and faithfulness through all generations and throughout all seasons of life.<\/p>\n<p>The words, &#8220;<em>Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed Thy hand hath provided<\/em>,&#8221; call us to recognize and give thanks for God\u2019s continual provision and care each and every day. Life itself is a gift from God, and when everything around and within us turns, \u201c<em>There is no shadow of turning with thee<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We try to make sense and find meaning in the patterns. Life challenges and seasons pull us back and forth. We are tossed, habitually, by life\u2019s waves and occasionally we become misaligned only waiting on the faithful God to realign us. The cycles go on, people come and go in our lives. \u201c<em>Summer and winter and springtime and harvest<\/em>.\u201d We cannot yet see the whole picture. But God pursues us in our seeking, earnest to meet us in our sorrow and poised to celebrate with us in our joy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God is the only constant. He is the unchanging centerpiece, holding all things together.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Singing the faith declarations in \u201cGreat Is Thy Faithfulness\u201d with honesty is delicate work. When we sing this hymn, we declare our trust in God\u2019s unwavering faithfulness. It encourages us to look back on our lives and see how God has consistently met our needs and guided us through every challenge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>: <em>Faithful God, thank You for Your constant presence and provision in our lives. As we sing &#8220;Great Is Thy Faithfulness,&#8221; help us to remember Your unchanging nature and to trust in Your promises. Fill our hearts with gratitude and praise for Your enduring faithfulness.
