{"id":4499,"date":"2026-05-21T02:45:35","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T02:45:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/?p=4499"},"modified":"2026-05-17T22:53:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-17T22:53:16","slug":"abide-continually","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/abide-continually\/","title":{"rendered":"Abide Continually"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Thursday, May 21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Abide Continually <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Now it was told King David, saying, \u201cThe Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.\u201d So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness. <\/em><strong>2 Samuel 6:12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jesus calls us not just to visit His presence occasionally, but to abide in Him continually. Abiding means remaining connected, staying close, and depending on Him daily. A life connected to God will naturally produce fruit. Love, patience, peace, kindness, wisdom, and endurance begin to grow in us as we remain in His presence. Fruit does not appear overnight. Growth takes time. In the same way, spiritual maturity develops as we continue walking faithfully with God day after day.<\/p>\n<p>When we purpose in our hearts to daily abide in Christ, there is a renewal like no other. The goal is not performance but transformation. God desires to shape our character so others can experience His love through us. Branches cannot survive disconnected from the vine, and neither can we thrive spiritually apart from Christ. The strength we need for daily living comes from staying connected to Him through prayer, worship, and His Word.<\/p>\n<p>Abiding is not striving harder; it is surrendering deeper. It is learning to rest in His love and trust Him moment by moment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:<\/strong> <em>Jesus, teach me how to abide in You daily. Help me remain rooted in Your presence and dependent on Your strength. Lord, let my life bear fruit that honors You. Continue shaping my heart and making me more like You each day.
