{"id":4490,"date":"2026-05-15T02:21:44","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T02:21:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/?p=4490"},"modified":"2026-05-10T22:28:27","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T22:28:27","slug":"dependence-on-the-father","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/dependence-on-the-father\/","title":{"rendered":"Dependence on The Father \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Friday, May 15<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dependence on The Father \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Now it was told King David, saying, \u201cThe Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.\u201d So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness. <\/em><strong>2 Samuel 6:12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Abiding in God\u2019s presence also teaches us dependence. We begin to understand that we were never meant to carry life\u2019s burdens alone. Jesus said that apart from Him we can do nothing. The more we stay connected to Him through prayer, worship, His Word, and obedience, the more His life flows through us. The world encourages self-sufficiency, but God calls us to daily dependence on Him.<\/p>\n<p>Abiding is not striving; it is surrendering. It is waking up each day and choosing to remain close to the One who sustains us.<\/p>\n<p>Today, may we choose not just to seek moments with God, but to live continually aware of His presence. The greatest blessing we can have is not what God gives us, but God Himself.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:<\/strong> <em>Lord, thank You for Your constant presence. When I feel overwhelmed or unsure, remind me that You are with me. Help me to walk daily in confidence, not in myself, but in You. Teach me to rely on Your strength each day as I live out the mission You\u2019ve given me.
