We don\u2019t always feel ready when God speaks in fact, many of us feel the exact opposite, that this is the worst possible time.<\/p>\n<p>When God called Jeremiah, he too felt unqualified. In the Book of Jeremiah 1, his flaw was insecurity. His mess was fear of inadequacy. But God responded, \u201cDo not say, \u2018I am too young.\u2019 \u2026 I am with you.\u201d Jeremiah would become a prophetic voice during one of Israel\u2019s darkest periods. Though rejected and ridiculed, he remained faithful. God does not call the confident. He calls the willing.<\/p>\n<p>Let us not forget this powerful scripture &#8211; Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV) which reminds us of what God says: <em>\u201cBefore I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So in our flesh, we look at what God is asking of us and immediately think, \u201cNot me. I\u2019m not ready for that. I\u2019m not good enough, old enough, experienced enough, or wise enough.\u201d We feel God is disrupting our comfort zone. We think this is punishment, not realizing that truly this is elevation.<\/p>\n<p>In this Year of Purpose, stop disqualifying yourself. If God formed you, He can use you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>: <em>Father, silence the voice of insecurity in my life. When I feel too small, too young, too inexperienced, remind me that You are with me. Give me courage to speak truth with love and boldness.
