Consider the Gospel hymn written in 1905 by Civilla Martin \u2013 His Eye Is on the Sparrow:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Why should I feel discouraged<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Why should the shadows come<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Why should my heart feel lonely<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>And long for heaven and home<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>When Jesus is my portion<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>A constant friend is He<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>His eye is on the sparrow<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>And I know He watches over me<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>His eye is on the sparrow<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>And I know He watches me<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>I sing because I&#8217;m happy<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>I sing because I&#8217;m free<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>His eye is on the sparrow<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>And I know He watches me (He watches me)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>His eye is on the sparrow<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>And I know He watches<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>I know He watches<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>I know He watches me<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Often we find it hard to accept that God cares for us and it leads us to doubt. Today there is so much in the world today which can distract us from keeping our eyes on the one true God and believing that He watches over you.
