Everyone in the land is living in terror.<\/em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Joshua 2:9, NLT<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When we are first introduced to Rahab, it is with the label: prostitute. That was her reputation. She lived in Jericho, a city marked for destruction. Yet when the spies arrived, Rahab made a bold decision. She chose faith over fear. She hid the spies and declared, \u201cThe Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her flaw? A sinful past and a life outside covenant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her faith? Courage to align with God before victory was visible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rahab tied a scarlet cord in her window as a sign of salvation. When Jericho\u2019s walls fell, her house stood. But God didn\u2019t stop at sparing her life, God set her up for a better future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rahab became the mother of Boaz.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boaz became the father of Obed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And through that lineage came Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From prostitution to the genealogy of the Messiah.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your past may introduce you one way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God\u2019s purpose will redefine you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>:<em>\u00a0Loving Father, thank You that my past does not intimidate You. Where others see labels, You see legacy. Just as You redeemed Rahab and placed her in the lineage of Jesus, redeem every part of my story. Give me courage to choose faith over fear, even when destruction seems close. Help me to trust that obedience today can position me for generational impact tomorrow. Thank You for rewriting my reputation with Your grace. In this Year of Purpose, I receive a new identity in You.
