Grace speaks of understanding, mercy, and blessing. When those two words throne and grace are placed together, they give us one of the most beautiful pictures of what Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross. The place of ultimate authority became the place of ultimate mercy.

Grace doesn’t excuse our sin; it meets us in it and transforms us through love. When we understand this, boldness replaces shame, and gratitude replaces fear.

To come boldly before the throne of grace means we are not ashamed to admit when we’ve messed up. It means we don’t hide, excuse, or minimize our sin we bring it honestly before God. We never have to be afraid of Him. Instead, Scripture calls us to have reverential fear: a deep, respectful awe of who He is. God is holy, powerful, and sovereign but He is also our Father, and He delights in forgiving His children.

Prayer for today: Lord, help me not hide in shame or fear, but to come boldy to the throne recognizing that You alone have the power to forgive.
