Scripture reminds us plainly: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). This truth levels the ground beneath our feet. No one stands higher, no one is beyond need. We are all clay unfinished, imperfect, and utterly dependent on the hands that shape us.

Grace is the potter’s touch. It presses, turns, and refines us with patience we did not earn. When we experience God’s grace personally when we realize He did not discard us for our flaws but instead chose to reshape us it changes the way we see others. We can no longer look at brokenness with contempt, because we recognize it in ourselves. We begin to say, “There go I, but by the grace of God.”

Just as the potter feels every weakness in the clay, God is intimately aware of our failures. Yet He does not abandon the work. Grace does not deny sin; it redeems the sinner. And once we understand that truth, our relationships are transformed. We become slower to judge, quicker to forgive, and more willing to extend compassion because we know how much has been extended to us.

Prayer for today: Father, let Your grace shape every relationship in my life.
