{"id":4170,"date":"2025-10-29T07:12:22","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T07:12:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/?p=4170"},"modified":"2025-10-26T19:16:36","modified_gmt":"2025-10-26T19:16:36","slug":"my-hope-has-a-name","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/my-hope-has-a-name\/","title":{"rendered":"My Hope Has A Name"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Wednesday, October 29<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>My Hope Has A Name <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. <strong>Hebrews 6:19<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When the Bible speaks of hope, it\u2019s not talking about wishful thinking or fragile optimism that depends on circumstances. Hebrews says our hope is \u201cfirm and secure.\u201d This isn\u2019t the \u201cI hope it doesn\u2019t rain today\u201d kind of hope. Biblical hope is a confident expectation rooted in the unchanging character and promises of God. It\u2019s the kind of hope that echoes the lyrics of the song Way Maker which says:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cEven if I can\u2019t see it yet, I know God is working.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cEven if I don\u2019t understand it, I know God is faithful.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This hope is not fragile; it\u2019s forged in faith. It\u2019s not dependent on what happens to us, but on who holds us through it.<\/p>\n<p>Hope like that doesn\u2019t break when the waves rise, it holds fast because it\u2019s anchored in God Himself.<\/p>\n<p>That means it\u2019s strong enough to withstand any storm and secure enough that it won\u2019t slip or fail. You can\u2019t anchor a ship with string, it won\u2019t hold. You can\u2019t secure a light pole with plastic; the first wind will knock it down. Anchors must be made of something solid, something tested, something proven to endure pressure.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s exactly who Jesus is.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s not a weak anchor or a temporary fix.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s a Savior who has faced the fiercest storms sin, death, and the grave and He still stands victorious. So when the world says, \u201cHold on to hope,\u201d we can say with confidence, \u201cI am and my hope has a name. His name is Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>:<em> Lord Jesus, You are my Anchor. When the winds of life blow and the waves rise high, remind me that my hope is not in my strength but in Your steadfast love. Anchor my soul in Your promises, my faith in Your Word, and my heart in Your presence.
