{"id":4066,"date":"2025-08-27T07:03:08","date_gmt":"2025-08-27T07:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/?p=4066"},"modified":"2025-08-22T16:06:35","modified_gmt":"2025-08-22T16:06:35","slug":"provision-i-shall-not-want","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/provision-i-shall-not-want\/","title":{"rendered":"Provision: &#8220;I shall not want&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Wednesday, August 27<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Provision: &#8220;I shall not want&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. <strong>Psalm 23:1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Psalm 23, King David paints a vivid picture of God as the ultimate shepherd, and through these words, we discover that the Lord\u2019s role is not only to guide us but also to provide, protect, and offer His presence in every season of life.<\/p>\n<p>David starts by declaring that because the Lord is his shepherd, he lacks nothing. There isn\u2019t anything that he is in need of. Yes, there might be needs, but there is a deeper meaning of trust that goes beyond the here and now. David understand that God\u2019s provision isn\u2019t just for the things of the stuff of this life. God provides all that we need, both spiritually and physically. As the shepherd leads the sheep to green pastures and still waters, He provides for our souls, feeding us with His Word and nourishing us with His love.<\/p>\n<p>When we walk with God, we too can join with the Psalmist understanding that God has provided all that we need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>:<em> Lord, I thank You for being all that I need. And in those moments when I feel as if I don\u2019t have enough or even that I am not enough remind me that You are there. Even when I think I cannot do it alone, remind me that You are the Sovereign God. Help me to remember that I can rely on You and You alone. Help me to live right and receive the promises of Your words. That you are the Good Shepherd and I LACK NOTHING!
