I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. <strong>John 14:27<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Devil has one job, he comes to steal, kill, and destroy\u2014not just our joy, but our peace. But Jesus speaks directly to this in John 14:27. On the edge of His greatest suffering, He tells His disciples: \u201c<em>Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you<\/em>.\u201d Now as followers of Christ we must understand this peace Jesus speaks of is not the kind of peace the world gives\u2014which depends on circumstances\u2014but His peace: unshakable, eternal, anchored in the presence of God.<\/p>\n<p>This means even on the days when life doesn\u2019t seem peaceful, we can experience peace.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, the devil is busy. But God is still sovereign. And when we praise Him for the peace we already have\u2014however small it may feel\u2014we position ourselves to receive more. Praise is a weapon. Peace is a promise. And God is faithful to bring us through the fire with our hearts still steady and our minds still sound.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>: <em>Loving Father, thank You for the gift of peace that Jesus left with us. Even in the middle of storms and battles, help me to hold onto the peace You\u2019ve already given.
