We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.<strong> Isaiah 64:8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is rather interesting the things you find on television late at night. I recently came across an interesting fact about the art of pottery. When a potter is preparing to shape a new vessel from a lump of clay, he needs to ensure that the clay is placed exactly in the middle of the potter\u2019s wheel. If the center of the clay is off then the entire thing will form off. The clay will respond to where it\u2019s been placed on the wheel to start with. If the clay is off center, the centrifugal force will sling it against the wall. This illustration drives home the importance of where we position ourselves in our relationship with God, and how we respond to His shaping process in our lives.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful to the great Potter, then trust His hands as He shapes and presses and molds you. Stay centered on the potter\u2019s wheel. Submit to the fiery furnace He may be placing you into to strengthen and refine you.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>: <em>Dear God, if I desire to be a vessel for honorable use to You then I must remain centered on You, even when it\u2019s uncomfortable and doesn\u2019t make sense from my perspective.
