It is a night of remembrance, a night of revelation, and a night where Jesus leaves behind not only a meal but a mandate: “Love one another, as I have loved you.”

Before the bread is broken, before the cup is passed, Jesus kneels. He washes feet. Even the feet of Judas — the one who would betray Him just hours later.

This act wasn’t just about cleanliness; it was about love. Jesus, fully aware of the suffering ahead, chose to spend His final hours serving, sharing, and loving — all while pointing to the deeper meaning behind it all: “This is My body, broken for you… do this in remembrance of Me.”

Do this in remembrance of Me – these words are more than a ritual. They’re an invitation, a holy rhythm of remembering, returning, and realigning our hearts with the heart of Jesus.

What Are We Remembering?

We remember His sacrifice — a body broken, a life poured out so that we could be made whole.

We remember His love — unconditional, selfless, scandalous grace for sinners like us.

We remember His presence — the One who didn’t just visit us but came to dwell with us, die for us, and rise for us.

We remember His promise — that He is coming again, and until then, we live as His body on earth.

Prayer for today: Loving Father, Teach me, Jesus, to love like You — humbly, fully, even when it’s uncomfortable.
