It’s the day we remember Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem — not on a warhorse, but on a humble donkey. The streets were alive with celebration: palm branches waving, people singing, shouting, dancing, and laying down their garments as a royal welcome.

They cried out with joy: “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”

The word Hosanna means “Save us now.” It was a cry not just of praise, but of deep need. The people were desperate — they longed for freedom, for deliverance, for hope. They believed Jesus might be the King to rescue them from oppression. What they didn’t fully understand was that He came not to save them from Rome, but from something far deeper: sin, death, and brokenness.

Maybe that’s where you are today.

Maybe life feels heavy — weighed down by stress, finances, health struggles, relationship tension, or simply the ache of feeling unseen.

If so, take heart: Jesus sees you. He hears your Hosanna. He knows the weight you carry. And the same Savior who entered Jerusalem on a donkey comes into your life today — humble, compassionate, and ready to meet your need.

Lay your burdens before Him. Just as the people laid down their garments, lay down your worries, your fears, your wounds. Jesus tramples over them with love and grace — not ignoring them, but carrying them all the way to the cross.

He is a promise-keeping God.

He came then to save.

And He comes now — for you.

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna in the highest!

Monday, April 14 🌿 The Cry of Hosanna Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: ‘Hosanna to the Son of David!
