It’s easy to wonder, “Lord, when will Your promises come to pass?” But through His Word, God reminds us that His timing is always perfect, and His promises are never forgotten.

The story of Joseph is a profound example. Though he faithfully interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s cupbearer, Joseph was forgotten in prison. Days turned into months, and yet, God had not forgotten Joseph. While the cupbearer failed to remember, God’s plan was still in motion. This is where faith and trust take center stage.

God’s Word tells us that faith pleases Him (Hebrews 11:6), and it requires trust to wait on His perfect timing. Waiting is never easy, but it’s essential. Acting in haste or taking matters into our own hands often leads to disappointment. The enemy’s strategy is to sow seeds of doubt, hoping we’ll grow impatient and abandon God’s promises.

Yet, God’s Word urges us to hold on. “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded” (Hebrews 10:35). Confidence in God’s faithfulness will yield the fulfillment of His promises. Just as Joseph moved from the prison to the palace in God’s perfect timing, so too will God bring about His promises in your life.

When you feel forgotten, remember: God has not abandoned you. His plans are unfolding, even when you can’t see them. Trust in His faithfulness, and you will not be disappointed.

Reflection Question: How can you remind yourself of God’s faithfulness when you feel forgotten or tempted to doubt His promises?

Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your steadfast love and faithfulness. Even when I feel forgotten or overlooked, I know You are always working for my good. Strengthen my faith as I wait on Your perfect timing. Help me resist the enemy’s lies and hold fast to Your promises. I trust You to fulfill every word You’ve spoken over my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Friday, November 22 God Never Forgets The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.
