He has torn us to pieces; now he will heal us. He has injured us; now he will bandage our wounds.<strong> Hosea 6:1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In life we often wonder, \u201cWhere is God in all of this?\u201d or even feel that He has abandoned us. But Hosea 6:1 offers us a different perspective. It reminds us that even in our brokenness, God\u2019s intention is to heal and restore.<\/p>\n<p>The verse starts with a call: \u201cCome, let us return to the Lord.\u201d This is an invitation, not just to seek comfort, but to actively return to the One who allowed the tearing. In Hosea\u2019s time, the people of Israel had turned away from God. They pursued other gods, their own desires, and strayed far from the covenant they had with the Lord. God\u2019s response was a loving discipline\u2014a tearing apart of their pride and false securities to bring them back to Himself.<\/p>\n<p>Like a good parent disciplines a child, sometimes God allows the tearing to redirect us. He wants us to return to Him, not to punish or destroy us, but to heal. The tearing, while painful, is meant to pull us away from the things that harm us and push us closer to His heart. It\u2019s a reminder that sometimes the deepest healing comes after the most profound breaking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>: <em>Dear Lord, please forgive my complacency at times, and help me by Your Spirit to move on in all that You have for me to do, to experience and to receive from You. Please help me also to be prepared for Your return, or for You to call me home.
