He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. <\/em><strong>Ephesians 2:14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In our sinful state, there was a barrier between us and God. But through Jesus, that barrier has been torn down. We no longer need to feel separated from God because of our imperfections. Jesus has given us full access to the Father through His sacrifice. No matter what you\u2019ve done, no matter how far you feel from God, He has already removed every obstacle that could keep you from His love.<\/p>\n<p>Through prayer God calls us into His presence to experience His peace of reconciliation. Jesus\u2019s blood was shed so that we can be reconciled together to God, and that God loves us and forgives us and makes us secure and holy, together, by the cross of Christ. That\u2019s who we really are. As soon as we forget who we really are, we define ourselves in some other way. So we need to keep coming back to the cross of Christ. Because it\u2019s in his death that the walls are broken down.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>:<em> Lord, thank , thank You for breaking down every barrier that once kept me from You. Help me to experience the fullness of Your presence.
