The psalmist describes God as having a fatherly nature when he writes about God\u2019s tender compassion toward His children. For example, David writes, \u201c<em>As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.<\/em>\u201d (Psalm 103:13). He is compassionate toward us because \u201c<em>he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust<\/em>\u201d (Psalm 103:14).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God&#8217;s love is compassionate and tender. Like a loving father, He cares for us with deep compassion and understanding. Recall a time when you experienced God&#8217;s compassion in a difficult situation, providing you with comfort and strength when you needed it most.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>:\u00a0<em>Compassionate Father, I thank you for your compassionate love that comforts and sustains me. May I rest in the assurance of your care and compassion, knowing that you are always near.
