Forever? How long will you look the other way? <\/em><strong>Psalm 13:1<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You have prayed.\u00a0 You have fasted.\u00a0 Nothing has changed.\u00a0 In fact, the silence on God&#8217;s end seems deafening.\u00a0 Your pain is deeper than physical pain.\u00a0 You wait on the Lord as a wounded sheep.\u00a0 Is He there?\u00a0 Is He listening?\u00a0 Does He really care?\u00a0 Is He coming? There is a desperate plea for help in today\u2019s verse as the psalmist asks \u2013 \u2018<em>How long will you look the other way<\/em>?\u2019 Remember the old adage, &#8220;Desperate times call for desperate measures.\u00a0 I submit to you that; &#8220;Desperate times call for desperate prayers.&#8221;\u00a0 When God seems silent, you don\u2019t be silent instead pray.<\/p>\n<p>In a book by Pete Greig called; &#8220;God on Mute.&#8221;\u00a0 Mr. Greig quotes a man named Brennan Manning who says; &#8220;To be grateful for an unanswered prayer, to give thanks in a state of interior desolation, to trust in the love of God in the face of marvels, cruel circumstances, obscenities, and common places of life is to whisper a doxology in the darkness.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In your desperation; days have become months and months have become years.\u00a0 You find yourself in a very dark place.\u00a0 Like a storm, the encroaching clouds grow darker and darker.\u00a0 Thunder and lightning ensue and you want to run for cover but you have nowhere to hide. Talk to the Father and tell Him how you feel.<\/p>\n<p>Psalm 139:7 says, &#8220;<em>Where can I go from Your Spirit?\u00a0 Where can I go from Your presence?&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0 Verses 11-12 says &#8220;<em>If I say, &#8220;Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,&#8221; even the darkness will not be dark to you, the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for Today<\/strong>: <em>Heavenly Father, I know that You are good. I believe that You know what\u2019s best for me, even when I don\u2019t know what\u2019s best for myself.
