Seated With God<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because he has loved Me\u2026 I will set him securely on high because he has known My Name.\u00a0<\/em>Psalm 91:14<\/strong><\/p>\n

God has promised to deliver us from all and then sit us on high. Just think about it. If you were trying to attend an event without knowing the host you\u2019d likely not be allowed in. However if you know the host that makes all the difference not just in your entry, but in your place at the event. To be set securely on high is the second promise to those who love the Lord and know Him by Name. God pulls us up to where He is! Our vantage point is greatly improved when we are seated with Him on high.<\/p>\n

What all is there to know about a name? When God wanted to show the people something important about Himself or about His promises in the Old Testament, He would make it known by revealing another one of His covenant Names. His Name revealed Himself: Jehovah Jireh is above lack, Jehovah Rapha is higher than sickness, and Jehovah Shalom is above a restless mind.<\/p>\n

We see this theme of His Name in the New Testament when He is referred to as the Name above all other names also in Ephesians 1:20-21.<\/p>\n

Psalm 91:14, uses the word \u201cknown.\u201d Do you know Him by Name? Can you call on His name and He answers? In Psalm 91 the psalmist refers to God by calling Him My God, making it personal. This promise of being seated securely on high is reserved for the one who experiences God intimately, then God says that the promises are ours. These promises come out of a \u201cknowing\u201d relationship. This is not an \u201cimpersonal\u201d God with whom you don\u2019t interact. This promise is connected to knowing His Name.<\/p>\n
