Destruction<\/strong><\/p>\n

Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.\u00a0<\/em>Psalm 91:7<\/strong><\/p>\n

Earlier in Israel’s history God intervened at the Red Sea to save His people from the Egyptian cavalry. We read how God caused the pillar of cloud to come between the Israelites and the Egyptians to protect the Israelites. The Old Testament also reports how God provided a safe path through the Red Sea for His people but brought the waters together again when the Egyptians pursued the Israelites. As a result, the cavalry drowned in the sea (Exodus 14). When God chooses to intervene on behalf of His people, nothing can stand in the way.<\/p>\n

We can receive anything that God has already provided. The secret is knowing that everything for which God has made provision is clearly spelled out and defined in the Word of God. If you can find where God has offered it\u2014you can have it! It is never God holding it back. His provision is already there\u2014waiting to be received.<\/p>\n

Faith is the means by which we accept what God has already made available. When our God instructs us not to fear, He means it. Our goal needs to be the renewal of our minds so we have more faith in God’s Word than in what we see.<\/p>\n

Prayer for today<\/strong>:\u00a0Loving Father, I am renewing my mind to the promises of protection You\u2019ve provided. You\u2019ve given me these accounts to meditate on when I need the reassurance of Your love. My trust is in You, and I have more faith in Your Word than what I may see with my natural eyes. In the name of Jesus. Amen<\/em><\/p>\n
