Our affection \u2014 that feeling of fondness or love \u2014 is to be set on things above. So what does that really mean? Does it mean that we\u2019re wrong for pursuing success here on earth? I don\u2019t think so, but I do believe that it means we are to live with eternity in mind.<\/p>\n<p>We tend to focus where we spend the most time. That\u2019s why it\u2019s so important to get into God\u2019s Word, to memorize scripture, to spend time in prayer every day. In order to receive all that God has in store for us and to help us not stray away we need to communicate with God daily. Multiple times a day if we\u2019re able. Ask God to center your focus on Him. Purposefully recite your favorite verses from the Bible.
