Amen.<\/em><strong> Matthew 6:13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Matthew 6 is a frequently used passage in the life of the believer. When we pray the Lord\u2019s Prayer, we are reminded that it\u2019s not about us, it\u2019s about God. When we pray \u201c<em>Our Father in Heaven<\/em>,\u201d it is as if Jesus is praying with us, joining us in praying to his Heavenly Father, who through Jesus is now our Heavenly Father, too. But this ending can be viewed as a prayer to Jesus: \u201c<em>For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, now and forever. Amen<\/em>.\u201d Jesus, after all, is the king. His is the power and the glory.<\/p>\n<p>The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the ultimate demonstration of God\u2019s glory and majesty, and God\u2019s victory over the forces of evil. We acknowledge the power of the resurrection when we sing, \u201cBecause he lives, I can face tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jesus is the king who died for us. We have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb. His is the kingdom, the power, and the glory.
