What is on the other end of your anchor? What is it attached to? Before you answer, let me share with you the purpose of an anchor. An anchor is used to keep you from being blown about by the wind, or swept by the tide into destruction; out to sea, or on the rocks. This means the anchor by itself, isn\u2019t good enough to keep the boat safe. The other end of the anchor has to be firmly attached in order to keep the ship from going astray.<\/p>\n<p>God is the anchor of the heart of the soul that is\u00a0one with Christ our Savior. What a source of comfort and strength for the lost, weary, and hurting. What words of reassurance to the one that feels their ship (life) has gone off course? What a picture of strength and power, when you feel alone in the world.<\/p>\n<p>An anchor-less ship is in danger of drifting on a sea of trouble. A vessel that has no mainstay would be smashed to pieces on the cruel rocks. Satan seeks to shipwreck the soul who is not securely anchored in Christ \u2013 but the Anchor of the soul is indeed\u00a0sure and steadfast\u2026 so we must lay hold on that hope set before us \u2013 for our hope is secure in Him.<\/p>\n<p>Today I encourage you to cry out to the Lord and ask for His guidance. God never fails you. He has kept many saints throughout the storms of life, and He is certain to remain His hold on you. It won\u2019t fail you, this day, this night, this week, or at any time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>: <em>Oh Lord, You are the Anchor of my soul. Today I thank You for the anchor of hope. I ask your forgiveness, for those moments when I\u2019ve failed to grasp it properly. Today I choose to grab hold of it once more and to trust You, because You&#8217;ve never failed, and never will.
