{"id":2062,"date":"2022-09-10T01:54:41","date_gmt":"2022-09-10T01:54:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/?p=2062"},"modified":"2022-09-09T17:56:13","modified_gmt":"2022-09-09T17:56:13","slug":"circumcise-your-heart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/circumcise-your-heart\/","title":{"rendered":"Circumcise Your Heart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: right;\"><strong>September 10-11<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Circumcise Your Heart<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>The LORD your God will change your heart and the hearts of all your descendants, so that you will love him with all your heart and soul and so you may live!<\/em><strong>\u00a0Deuteronomy 30:6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God asks us to circumcise our hearts for the purpose of removing that which is not necessary.\u00a0\u00a0Circumcision involves removing skin.\u00a0\u00a0Ouch!\u00a0\u00a0When healing comes; nothing can build up under the skin.\u00a0\u00a0It&#8217;s the same with the heart.\u00a0\u00a0When we remove the desires of our flesh; it is painful; however, it&#8217;s preparing the way for a right spirit to be renewed within us.\u00a0\u00a0That is why we ask God to search our hearts to see if there be any wicked way in us and to renew a right spirit within us and lead us to the way everlasting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today ask God to circumcise your heart. Remove the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.\u00a0\u00a0Listen to His voice and move according to His command. Ask Him to search your heart and cleanse anything that prevents you from being used for His kingdom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The song writer says &#8211; &#8220;Take my life and let it be, consecrated Lord to Thee.\u00a0\u00a0Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of Thy love, at the impulse of Thy love.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>:\u00a0<em>Thank You Lord for circumcising my heart. I want to draw closer and closer to You.\u00a0\u00a0I need You every hour, most precious Lord, no tender voice like Thine can peace afford.
