{"id":2016,"date":"2022-08-17T01:11:30","date_gmt":"2022-08-17T01:11:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/?p=2016"},"modified":"2022-08-16T20:12:08","modified_gmt":"2022-08-16T20:12:08","slug":"the-glory-goes-to-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/the-glory-goes-to-god\/","title":{"rendered":"The Glory Goes to God"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Wednesday, August 17<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Glory Goes to God<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ\u2019s power may rest on me.<\/em><strong> 2 Corinthians 12:9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In responding to her calling in God Mother Teresa wrote, \u2018<em>I don\u2019t think there is anyone who needs God\u2019s help and grace as much as I do. Sometimes I feel so helpless and weak. I think that is why God uses me. Because I cannot depend on my own strength, I rely on Him twenty-four hours a day. If the day had even more hours, then I would need His help and grace during those as well<\/em>.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>In 2 Corinthians 12 Paul expresses this dependence when he writes about the \u2018thorn in his flesh\u2019. Three times he pleaded with the Lord to take it away. But God said to him, \u2018My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness\u2019 (2 Corinthians 12:9).<\/p>\n<p>Before we curse our circumstances, we must consider the possibility that our thorns, the things we are praying \u2018God please take it away\u2019 is the exact thing He wants to use for His glory in your life? The worst thing God could do from a human perspective is take it away from us, because it\u2019s the very thing that keeps us. Your thorn is meant to give God glory. Its apart of your growth process. And so day we must understand that God\u2019s grace is not only amazing; it is \u2018sufficient\u2019. It is enough.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the day, God will receive all the glory and the honor. Let Him fill you with His grace and strength.
