It is my meditation all the day. <\/em><strong>Psalm 119:97<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the word meditate means to <em>focus one&#8217;s thoughts on: reflect on or ponder over<\/em>. God instructs the believer to focus, reflect, ponder, and memorize His law so that we can grow into a relationship with Him.<\/p>\n<p>To know the Lord doesn&#8217;t just happen. Faith isn&#8217;t simply something we declare and move on. Knowing God requires that we nurture a relationship with Him&#8211;a relationship that entails two-way communication, listening, sharing, trusting, and growing together. Just like any earthly relationship we pursue it requires time and commitment.<\/p>\n<p>The believer\u2019s walk is a relationship. And the way to grow in this relationship is to get to know Him. So what exactly does &#8220;knowing&#8221; God and Jesus look like in everyday life? It all starts with the words written in Psalm 119:97 \u2018<em>O how I love thy law!
