Matthew 22:39 says \u2018A second is equally important: \u2018Love your neighbor as yourself.\u2019 In responding to the Pharisees question Jesus gave him a clear answer: the greatest among many things that man could do is to love. To love God wholly and totally (with one\u2019s heart soul, and mind) and to love one\u2019s neighbor are the greatest commandments of all. God\u2019s word tells us \u201c<em>these two commands are pegs; everything in God\u2019s Law\u2026hangs on them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>One cannot say \u201cI love God\u201d but hates his\/ her neighbor or has nothing to do with his\/ her neighbor. Because God is love and that is why we are able to love. What pleases the Lord and what makes one worthy of the Lord\u2019s saving grace.
