For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing.\u201d \u2026 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?\u00a0 <strong>Luke 12:22-23<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So much of our lives can be dominated by worry. How will this work out? Is this job for me? Do I have enough to buy this? Or that? Will I be able to pay all the bills? Will I have enough for the clothes I need, or the food I need to eat? Then what about the children? Will they go to college? Will I have enough to pay for it? What if I cannot make the mortgage payment this month? The worry train begins to roll in and it can seem endless. In the midst of the worry train rolling in Jesus has a question for us \u2013 \u2018<em>Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?<\/em>\u2019 No, they can\u2019t! Jesus wants us to know that our Father in Heaven already knows our needs, and that He cares for us. He doesn\u2019t want us to waste our time worrying. Instead we\u2019re to seek His Kingdom first, keep His Kingdom at the forefront of your mind, and focus on Him first and foremost. Then we\u2019ll find that our Father will provide our earthly needs, without us having to worry about it.<\/p>\n<p>So if you are worrying today, it\u2019s time to stop. It won\u2019t add a single moment to your life. In fact, your worrying takes you further from the peace to be found in God. Instead why don\u2019t you set your attention to your Heavenly Father and find peace in His arms. Hold onto these words:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBe anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Philippians 4:6-7<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>: <em>Loving Father, thank You that I can find peace in You. You know my needs before I even ask. Forgive me for worrying about my needs, and not trusting in You. Today I choose to seek the Kingdom of God first in my life. Thank You that You\u2019ll provide for me.
