Shipwrecked\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else. Romans 15:20<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the New Testament book of Acts, chapters 27 and 28, we find the Apostle Paul shipwrecked on the island of Malta. He has spent the past few days in turbulent seas, being tossed backwards and forwards, and then has had to swim ashore, after the ship struck a sand bank and refused to budge. Tired and drenched with water he drags himself to shore. The islanders greeted Paul and those with him, with unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed them (Acts 28:2). The Maltese had no idea that a representative of the King of kings had just landed on their island, but they were soon to find out. In this unthinkable situation God used the Apostle Paul to bring healing to the chief official\u2019s father, and many others were cured as well. How refreshing it must have been for Paul, a prisoner, to be used during this time.<\/p>\n

Being shipwrecked was not part of the Apostle Paul\u2019s agenda, but he still allowed God to use him in that circumstance. Being a vessel for God\u2019s use means we are to grow wherever God plants us.<\/p>\n

I wonder what circumstances you find yourself in right now. Are you in a different place then which you expected? My encouragement to you today is to sow, and grow where you\u2019re planted. Your present circumstance may be a surprise to you, but not to our God. He can meet you and use you wherever you are, if you are willing.<\/p>\n

Prayer for today<\/strong>: Dear God, help me to accept this time in my life and use it all for You honor and glory. Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n
