{"id":1298,"date":"2021-09-13T01:49:26","date_gmt":"2021-09-13T01:49:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/?p=1298"},"modified":"2021-09-11T18:50:06","modified_gmt":"2021-09-11T18:50:06","slug":"monday-morning-manna-43","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/monday-morning-manna-43\/","title":{"rendered":"Monday Morning Manna"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Monday, September 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday Morning Manna\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.<strong> Psalm 34:19<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Psalm 34:19 says, \u2018Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.\u2019 Most of us reading this probably like that second part about deliverance, but my sermon is mostly about the first part, the many afflictions the righteous suffer. If you want a big idea before we begin, here it is: It\u2019s not what happens to us that matters, it is the &#8216;who&#8217; we are looking to and how we respond that makes the difference. Today I encourage you to keep focused on God through the pain because He will see you through.<\/p>\n<p>When we\u2019re in the middle of affliction, it\u2019s difficult to find internal stability, let alone peace. This is when we draw for our sword &#8211; God\u2019s Word. When we decide to dig into God\u2019 Word we will discover it sooth our spirits, and connect us with the only source of help and rescue &#8211; God.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re afflicted today, turn to God\u2019s Word, and hold onto the things which are true. Sometimes we will face things for which there is no earthly explanation. We just don\u2019t know, but in these moments we need to hold on, child of God, hold on and keep believing. Don\u2019t quit. Don\u2019t give up. Let God do his work in you.
