It\u2019s God\u2019s gift! God deals out joy in the present, the now\u2019. <strong>Ecclesiastes 5:19<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The internet has given us the wonderful gift of information at our fingertips, but with that came a new fear. One of the key issues these days is the anxiety which comes from constant comparison and FOMO (fear of missing out). The truth is we are to enjoy where we are in the present. Do not wish away today in hopes for tomorrow. No, instead we must learn to thrive in today and find contentment in God.<\/p>\n<p>The writer of Ecclesiastes says, \u2018<em>We should make the most of what God gives, both the bounty and the capacity to enjoy it, accepting what\u2019s given and delighting in the work. It\u2019s God\u2019s gift! God deals out joy in the present, the now\u2019<\/em> (Ecclesiastes 5:19, The Message). Learn to enjoy this wonderful gift of life in the present. If you do not, life will pass you by and you will never enjoy where you are right now.<\/p>\n<p>The Lord has also left us encouragement in the New Testament. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 7:1 \u201cBut as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let him walk.\u201d \u2013 meaning where you are right now is the perfect place for God to use you.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy today. See God\u2019s hand in it and continue to live out the good work of the Lord.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today: <\/strong><em>Dear Lord, help me to avoid unnecessary \u2018strife\u2019 through distractions.
