Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for faith, which is the Good News. <strong>Philippians 1:27<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Researchers have determined that mankind communicates 7% with words, 35% with our tone of voice and 58% with our actions. Francis of Assis writes, \u201c<em>Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary, use words<\/em>.\u201d This is an unusual statement with a deeper meaning. The Apostle Paul says it this way, \u2018conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News.\u2019 Here Paul is writing from prison and asks the church to live in a way that is worthy of Christ\u2019s gospel. In other words, may all which we do and say reflect Jesus. He knew that it was easy to say the right things but difficult to live them out.<\/p>\n<p>Let your actions represent Christ as much as your words do. Never underestimate the power of a kind gesture. More often than not, your deeds not words are what speaks the loudest. This is why the mute can communicate even without the ability to vocalize how they feel.<\/p>\n<p>The old saying that goes actions speak louder than words, remains true until this day. When you decide to help a hurting friend, you are speaking. Through acts of unmerited kindness, you are speaking. When through your gifts you make life easier for someone else, your actions are speaking. Stand strong for Christ and represent the Gospel always.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, the book of Philippians is about changing your mind. Words related to the mind, to thinking, and then to actions.
