{"id":1165,"date":"2021-07-13T01:19:36","date_gmt":"2021-07-13T01:19:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/?p=1165"},"modified":"2021-07-12T22:20:40","modified_gmt":"2021-07-12T22:20:40","slug":"brokenness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cornerstonecem.org\/blog\/brokenness\/","title":{"rendered":"Brokenness \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Tuesday, July 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Brokenness \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While he was still speaking, another also came and said, \u201cYour sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother\u2019s house, and behold, a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people and they died, and I alone have escaped to tell you.\u201d <strong>Job 1:18-19<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Job chapter 1 records four accounts of bad news coming to Job concomitantly. I can remember thinking to myself, \u2018<em>How can this level of brokenness bring glory to God<\/em>?\u2019 Read it for yourself Job 1:13-20. In the end \u201cJob stood up and tore his robe in grief\u2026\u201d Job 1:20. God allowed him to be broken beyond belief.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve wondered if anyone on this earth has ever walked through all he went through.\u00a0 Yet, I love that Job said I love that Job said, \u201c<em>Naked I came from my mother\u2019s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord<\/em>.\u201d\u00a0 When you feel broken beyond repair as a believer, where do you turn? You turn to Him and bless His Name. It\u2019s in these moments to remember that greatness is God&#8217;s faithfulness and He is worthy to be praised.<\/p>\n<p>When you find yourself in deep hurt and grief, you just continually bless the Lord at all times.\u00a0 Praise and worship Him for who He is.\u00a0 Ask the Lord to be your help and your strength.\u00a0 He will. Ask Him to redeem and restore the time the locusts have eaten.\u00a0 It may look different from what you think but it can happen. I know it can because I know He (God) is able.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Prayer for today<\/strong>: <em>Dear God, in this world of brokenness I know You are our Healer.
