This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. <strong>Ephesians 1:5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What comes to mind when I hear these words\u2026 Father, Dad, Pop, Papa?<\/p>\n<p>For many, images of a father come to mind, memories come to life, and emotions begin to swell. Some of those thoughts and emotions are warm and positive, and some are not. For many of us the memories and connections with our father \u2013 or the lack of them \u2013 have made a deep impact on how we relate to others.<\/p>\n<p>As Father\u2019s Day approaches, I am reminded of the special relationship that fatherhood encompasses. And also the sad truth of any human relationship which is, all fathers are failures in many ways and to different degrees\u2026 all except one.<\/p>\n<p>God is the only perfect Father. He never ceases to love, and His love is expressed by his constant care, patience, and mercy toward us. He\u2019ll never forsake his children, fail to provide for them, or disappoint them by a faulty character.<\/p>\n<p>Today, let\u2019s collectively honor \u2018Father\u2019s\u2019. God bless all the fathers, fatherly figures, and those who step in to do their very best in raising us all.
